Sorry it’s been a bit of a long time between posts! Computer troubles etc etc. Anyway - exciting news is that my partner Sam and I are having a joint exhibition at nrcg (Northern Rivers Community Gallery) in July and August and I have just (well almost..) finished all the vessels for it! You can see it here on the website in Elemental Exhibition. Because it’s all raku work, I thought it best to get it done early - so much can go wrong. Anyway, I’m happy with the results. The vessels look very ancient as though they have been excavated from somewhere, which is the look I was aiming for. I hope you enjoy it.
First kiln opening for 2018
Some nice new bowls - this one I particularly like which is the perfect size for a salad for two! One of the great things about ceramics is you get to "home test" them before they are sold. We had a simple salad in this bowl (still slightly warm from the kiln) last night. And yes - perfectly dishwasher safe!
MORE BOWLS FOR THE PATCH.....
Just sold 6 (actually 7!) more bowls to the wonderful Rommell from The Patch cafe in Mullumbimby. I was excited to hear that two of the previous ones have been stolen! Should I have been excited? Probably not - but I was certainly chuffed that someone liked them so much they just had to have them!!
